Description

This 4 stage piston type compressor assembly is driven by an induction type electric motor through a belt drive. A control panel, part of the HPBAC system, provides a MANUAL/AUTO selector switch that allows the operator to select the mode of operation. The compressor draws air through tan inlet filter. This compressed air, prior to leaving HPBAC system, is passed through a purification system, ANSI/CGA G-7.1, Grade D breathing air quality. The compressor, motor, and control panel are vibration isolated from the main frame. The base of the main frame incorporates cable-mount type isolators for resilient mounting to the installation structure. The system is shipboard qualified and meets shock and vibration requirements.
